18 January 2007 (Jewswire.com) - The 7th annual Herzliya Conference on the "Balance of Israel's National Security,” coordinated by The Institute for Policy and Strategy (IPS) at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya, is just a few days away. Starting Sunday and lasting for 4 days, the Conference is bringing some of the best minds from Israel and around the world to discuss the issues impacting a wide range of global and regional issues.
The conference prides itself in being an open and public forum for these debates and this year the IPS is taking steps to make that promise even more of a reality.
As in previous years, the entire conference will be broadcast live over the internet. To watch the proceedings, you can log on to www.herzliyaconference.org/eng or www.idc.ac.il/eng. Both sites are linked up to the broadcast. Simultaneous Hebrew to English translation will be provided. At the end of each day, all processions from that day will be rerun. Afterwards, users will be able to use the Video on Demand (VOD) functions to see a specific panel or speaker from the conference. Brief summaries of the panels will also be posted.
In addition, the Conference is also feeding out the broadcast to a local provider who can either route the feed through Fiber Optic Cable or uplink to a global satellite feed. This service is designed to bring to any media outlet a broadcast quality feed to whatever part of the conference they would like to potentially use. To receive this service, please contact Satlink Communications at (972)-2-5336213 or (972)-2-5349086.
