3 December 2006 (Jewswire.com) - Experienced online genealogy instructors are now providing classes they formerly offered at MyFamily.com, and called the "best-kept secret in online genealogy."
Once again, these instructors will offer basic and advanced classes in a number of specialized areas.
Providing Jewish genealogy know-how and how-to are Schelly Talalay Dardashti and Micha Reisel, who will team-teach both the basic Jewish Genealogy and Jewish Internet Research classes.
"It was a great experience," they say, stressing that they thoroughly enjoyed helping students to learn not only the basics, but how to search for additional important information.
Participants included individuals in the US, UK and Canada, as well as the Canary Islands, France, Australia, Israel and other countries. In several classes, students discovered not only research partners of the same geographical areas, but even relatives!
Other classes offered by experienced online instructors include Adoption Investigation, Family Tree Maker 16 (basic), Jump Start Your Genealogy, Lost Friends and Family Investigation, Native American Genealogy, Northeastern US Genealogy, Write Your Family History Step-by-Step, Organizing Your Family History and others.
Now online: Schedules for January and February, registration for January classes, instructor bios and course outlines.
Each four-week class offers a detailed curriculum, two weekly lessons to be downloaded, online class meetings and other features. Each class is a nominal $29.95. Other classes and instructors may be added later in 2007, as well as advanced classes.
International readers are welcome. The class language is English, as are all printed materials.
For more information on any class offered, contact Micha Reisel, micha@genclass.com.
