March 15 2007 (Jewswire.com) - The Association of Jewish Libraries will hold its 42nd annual convention June 17-20, 2007 at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas in Scottsdale, Arizona. The theme of the convention is "Jewish Libraries/Southwest Flavors."
Highlights include:
* Keynote by Jonathan Kirsch, "Animal Skins and God's Bones: How the Making and Keeping of Books has Enriched the World and Ensured the Survival of the Jewish People." Kirsch is the author of The Harlot by the Side of the Road, God Against the Gods, and A History of the End of the World.
* Sessions on technology, archives, cataloging, children's and teen literature, and authors galore.

The convention is an excellent resource for librarians, archivists, scholars and educators who work with Judaica, as well as those who publish works with Judaic themes.
