9 October 2006 (Jewswire.com) - Tomorrow, Tuesday 10 October 2006 at 11:00 AM in the Atrium on the Third Floor of the International Convention Center Jerusalem (Binyanei Ha’uma).
During the annual Feast press conference, the ICEJ will announce its milestone of assisting 100,000 new immigrants in making Aliyah to Israel. The 100,000th “oleh chadash” (newcomer) and several of our earliest Russian-speaking immigrants will be on hand to share their experiences.
For the past 27 years, the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem has sponsored the annual Christian celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem. The largest annual tourist event in Israel, the Feast this year will once again be marked by inspirational musical performances and colorful pilgrims from over 80 nations. Coming in the wake of the war in Lebanon, the Feast gathering will constitute the largest solidarity mission to Israel this year. The pilgrims are expected to infuse as much as $18 million into the local economy, accounting for over 16,000 hotel room nights.
